Richard Dutcher

Biography

Richard Alan Dutcher was born in Oak Park, Illinois in 1964 and grew up in a family that frequently relocated. He served a two-year mission in Mexico as an LDS missionary before attending Brigham Young University, where he graduated with a degree in film in 1988. A successful filmmaker known for his Mormon-themed movies, including "God's Army" and "Brigham City", Dutcher holds the title of "The Godfather of Mormon Cinema".
