Biography

Sonya Karpunina is a Russian film director, screenwriter, and actress known for her work on the 2019 film "Tekst," where she played the lead role of Galya. Karpunina graduated from the Moscow Financial and Industrial University in 2007 and later completed a filmmaking course at the VGIK, where she honed her skills in directing and screenwriting. Her notable work also includes the 2022 romantic comedy "Хочу замуж," which she directed and co-wrote with her husband Klim Shipenko.
