"Text" is a 2019 Russian crime drama psychological thriller film that follows Ilya Goryunov (Alexander Petrov), a man who after seven years in prison on false charges of drug trafficking, sets out to take revenge on the policeman who sent him there. As he navigates his new life, Ilya gains possession of his enemy's smartphone and through a series of texts, takes his place, leading to a cat-and-mouse game that unfolds on and off screen.
