Betty Balfour was an English screen actress who rose to fame during the silent era as a leading figure in British cinema. Known for her comedic roles in the Squibs series of films, she earned the nickname "Britain's Queen of Happiness" and was named the country's favourite world star by the Daily Mirror in 1927. Her talent extended beyond comedy, demonstrated in dramas like Love, Life and Laughter and Reveille, before making her stage debut at age 11.
