Biography

Carl Brisson was a Danish-born actor and singer who began his career as a prizefighter, winning Denmark's amateur lightweight boxing championship at 15. He later pursued acting, making his stage debut as a dancer in 1916, and went on to perform in films, including Alfred Hitchcock's silent works and the 1934 musical "Murder at the Vanities", which introduced the popular song "Cocktails for Two". Brisson's name was inspired by his mother's family.
