John Murice Jackson, born June 1, 1950 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, is an American actor known for his iconic role as Rear Admiral A.J. Chegwidden on the CBS series JAG. After a teaching career at LBJ High School in Austin, Texas, he began acting in the late 1970s, gradually making his way to Hollywood and landing notable roles in films and television shows, including "Forgotten Sins" and recurring spots on NCIS and its spin-offs.
