Biography

Lane Nakano was an American soldier turned actor, best known for his role as Sam in the 1951 war film "Go for Broke!". He served in the U.S. Army, including with the 442nd Regimental Combat Team, and was interned at the Heart Mountain Relocation Center during World War II. After the war, he was discovered by Hollywood director Robert Pirosh, who cast him in the film.
