Biography

John Houseman was a Romanian-born British-American actor and film producer known for his collaboration with Orson Welles on Citizen Kane. He won the Best Supporting Actor Oscar for his portrayal of Professor Charles W. Kingsfield in the 1973 film The Paper Chase, reprising the role in its TV series adaptation. Houseman also produced William Shakespeare's Julius Caesar (1953) and was nominated for multiple Golden Globe Awards and a Primetime Emmy Award.
