A sidesplitting spoof of 1940s detective films, "The Cheap Detective" follows Lou Peckinpaugh (Peter Falk), a hapless San Francisco private eye who's accused of murder due to his mistress' scheme. As he tries to clear his name and recover a lost treasure, Peckinpaugh must navigate a bizarre array of characters in a wildly entertaining romp filled with comedic mayhem and over-the-top action.
