Priscilla Pointer

Biography

Priscilla Pointer was a veteran actress who began her career on Broadway in the late 1940s and later transitioned to Hollywood and television in the early 1950s. Her notable roles include Alice Ryan in "A Show of Force" (1990) and Mrs. Beaumont in "Blue Velvet" (1986). She was also a mother to actress Amy Irving, making her the former mother-in-law of filmmakers Steven Spielberg and Bruno Barreto.
