Looking for Mr. Goodbar

Theresa Dunn (Diane Keaton), a dedicated schoolteacher to deaf children by day, frequents singles' bars at night where she meets Tony Lopanto (Richard Gere), a charming but vain Italian-American, and engages in dangerous sexual activity with him and others, including an older man and eventually a gay man who turns out to be unfaithful. Her life is marked by unhappiness and a search for excitement outside her ordered life, which ultimately leads to tragedy.
