William Atherton

William Atherton, born July 30, 1947, in Orange, Connecticut, began his acting career with notable roles in The Sugarland Express (1974), The Day of the Locust (1975), and Looking for Mr. Goodbar (1977). He gained international recognition for iconic roles as Walter Peck in Ghostbusters and Richard Thornburg in Die Hard's sequel. Atherton's success on stage, working with notable playwrights like David Rabe and John Guare, earned him numerous awards before his breakthrough film appearances.
