In 1960s America, a young woman's life becomes intertwined with the most unlikely of heroes: Mac, a chimpanzee destined for greatness in space. As Billy von Huber trains this animal to join the select group of primates who've ventured into orbit, he finds himself at the center of a thrilling adventure that will take him and his new friend hundreds of miles above Earth.
