Die Hard

On Christmas Eve, a team of German ex-radical terrorists has seized Nakatomi Plaza in Los Angeles, taking over 20 people hostage. One man, an off-duty New York City Police Department detective named John McClane, manages to escape, hiding somewhere inside the building. He's alone, tired, and the only chance anyone has got - a regular guy who must unleash mayhem and destruction when the situation calls for it.
