Biography

Orie Satō is a Japanese actress born on March 25, 1943, in Tokyo's Setagaya ward. She began her career at a young age, accompanying her father, a sculptor, to the stage and film, before graduating from the Akiyoshi Theatre Academy and joining the Akiyoshi Theatre Company. Satō rose to fame with roles in "若者たち" and "男はつらいよ," earning recognition for her nuanced portrayals of motherly figures.
