Bernard Nedell

Biography

Bernard Jay Nedell was an American actor born on October 14, 1893, in New York City. He appeared in over 50 films between 1916 and 1972, including notable roles as Pablo in "The Loves of Carmen" (1948) and J.E. Clave in "Maisie Goes to Reno" (1944). A stage actor before turning to film, Nedell was also married twice, first to fellow actress Helen Porter Nichols until her death in 1923, and then to Olive Blakeney.
