Biography

Maria Teresa de Almeida Salgueiro, a Portuguese singer, rose to fame as the lead vocalist of Madredeus from 1987 until 2007. She gained international recognition with her appearance in Wim Wenders' film Lisbon Story. In 2007, Salgueiro embarked on a solo career, releasing albums such as Você e Eu and La Serena, and collaborated with notable artists like Septeto de João Cristal. She has also featured in recent projects with Patrick Watson.
