Chiyoko Ôkura

Biography

Chiyoko Ōkura, known for her roles in "Naniwa erejî" (1936) and "初姿" (1936) under director Sakamoto Kyōko, was a Japanese actress born on August 31, 1915, in Tokyo. She began her career in theater at the age of 10, later transitioning to film and joining the production company of actress Mayo Kusaka and director Masashi Yamamoto. Ōkura gained recognition for her performances in the 1930s, including "虞美人草" (1935) and "初姿" (1936), under various production companies.
