Naniwa erejî

Ayako Murai (Isuzu Yamada) takes a job as a telephone operator to pay off her father's debt, which she embezzled, by becoming the mistress of her boss, Sonosuke Asai (Benkei Shiganoya). As she navigates this new life, she must deal with her unhappy marriage, her disapproving family, and her complicated relationships with her colleagues and lovers. Ayako's journey is marked by moments of desperation, shame, and resilience as she struggles to maintain her dignity in the face of adversity.
