Eitarō Shindō was a renowned Japanese film actor born on November 10, 1899. He is most closely associated with the work of legendary director Kenji Mizoguchi, collaborating on twelve films including "Sansho the Bailiff" and "Street of Shame". Known for his versatility, Shindō appeared in over 300 films between 1936 and 1975, leaving a lasting legacy in Japanese cinema. He passed away on December 18, 1977, at the age of 78.
