Yôkihi

In 8th-century China, Emperor Xuanzong of Tang mourns the death of his wife, while the Yang family, led by General An Lushan, aims to gain influence by presenting their relative, Princess Yang Kwei-fei, to the emperor. As Kwei-fei gains the emperor's favor, her family's corruption and her own loyalty are tested, ultimately leading to her tragic fate. Kwei-fei's character is portrayed by Machiko Kyō, who brings depth to the role of the princess.
