Eitarō Ozawa

Biography

Eitarō Ozawa was a Japanese actor who began his career in left-wing theatre groups before making his film debut at the P.C.L. studio in 1935. He co-founded the Haiyuza theatre group in 1944 and later returned to it after being drafted, reappearing in notable films by Yasujirō Ozu, Akira Kurosawa, and Kenji Mizoguchi, including "Record of a Tenement Gentleman," "Scandal," and "Ugetsu."
