Frank Porretta
Biography
Frank Porretta Jr. was a renowned American tenor who performed in operas, musicals, and concerts from 1952 to 1971. He had a distinguished relationship with the New York City Opera, singing a diverse repertoire, including world premieres by notable composers. Porretta also starred in several notable musicals, including The Great Waltz, The King and I, and The Merry Widow, and made his film debut in the 1970 movie Song of Norway.
