Biography

Chris-Pin Martin was an American character actor, best known for portraying comical Mexicans in films, particularly as sidekicks in The Cisco Kid series. Born Ysabel Ponciana Chris-Pin Martin Paiz in 1893 to a Yaqui Indian father and Mexican mother in Arizona Territory, he began working in Hollywood in 1911 as an extra for Universal Studios. He went on to act in over 100 films between 1925 and 1953, including numerous westerns.
