Biography

Kim Thayil is a founding member of Seattle-based rock band Soundgarden, co-founded in 1984 with Chris Cornell and Hiro Yamamoto. He was named the 100th greatest guitarist of all time by Rolling Stone in 2010 and the 67th by SPIN in 2012. A two-time Grammy Award winner, Thayil is known for his work on the band's 1996 film "Hype!".
