Biography

John Michael Lutz is an American actor, comedian, and screenwriter, best known for playing J. D. Lutz on the NBC sitcom 30 Rock and for his seven-season stint as a writer on Saturday Night Live. He joined the writing staff of Late Night with Seth Meyers in 2014. Lutz's career began as a writer-performer with Chicago's ImprovOlympic and The Second City theaters, and he toured with Second City for three years before joining SNL.
