Perry Lopez was a New York-born American actor of Puerto Rican descent, whose long-lasting film and television career spanned over 40 years before his death in 2008. He gained recognition for his roles as Lieutenant Lou Escobar in the classic 1974 film Chinatown and its 1990 sequel The Two Jakes. Lopez also appeared in notable episodes of Star Trek, Bonanza, El Zorro, and The Time Tunnel.
