Sara Shane was a Golden Age actress born Elaine Sterling on May 18, 1928, who rose to fame in the 1950s and early 1960s. She secured a seven-year contract with Universal International Pictures after hiring publicist Russell Birdwell and adopting her stage name "Sara Shane." Notable highlights of her career include roles in Clark Gable's The King and Four Queens and the John Wayne film The High and Mighty.
