Noboru Andō
Biography
Noboru Ando was a Japanese actor and writer born on May 24, 1926, who drew from his life as a former yakuza in numerous roles, including the knife-scarred character in "New Battles Without Honor and Humanity" (1974). He founded his own yakuza family, the Ando-gumi, in 1952. With a diverse career spanning stage, film, and television, Ando remains known for his gritty portrayals of underworld figures.
