Paul America
Biography
Paul America was a member of Andy Warhol's Superstars and appeared in Edie Sedgwick's final film "Ciao! Manhattan" (1972). He met Warhol at Ondine discotheque in 1965 and later became the lead character in Warhol-directed film "My Hustler" (1965), which marked his only notable feature with the director. America struggled with identity issues stemming from his given name, which was inspired by his former residence, Hotel America.
