Murray Rose

Biography

Iain Murray Rose was born on January 6, 1939, in Birmingham, England, and moved to Australia with his family at a young age. He began swimming at five and went on to win six Olympic medals, including four gold, before attending the University of California, where he graduated in 1962. After settling in the US, Rose transitioned to acting, commentary, and marketing, before returning to Australia and passing away in 2012.
