Peter Chong

Biography

Peter Chong, born John Kohnie Kuh, was a Chinese-American character actor who rose to prominence in Hollywood's 1940s and 1950s. He made a lasting impression with his role as Yang in the 1958 film "The Inn of the Sixth Happiness." Prior to his film career, Chong honed his craft in Broadway productions and vaudeville, eventually earning a master's and PhD from Oberlin College.
