Biography

Eila Mirjam Pehkonen was a Finnish actress born in Kostermaa on October 18, 1924. She began her studies at the Helsinki Theatre Academy in 1945 and graduated in 1947, going on to work for several Finnish theatres throughout her career. Pehkonen's film debut came with two notable roles in Valentin Vaala's films Maaret – tunturien tyttö (1947) and Ihmiset suviyössä (1948), before continuing to appear in a range of productions until her death in 1991.
