A Time of Roses

In 2012, historian Raimo Lappalainen (Arto Tuominen) becomes obsessed with recreating the life and death of Saara Turunen (Ritva Vepsä), a short-lived nude model from the 1970s. As he delves into her story, Raimo notices that despite the progress of society in the intervening years, the spiritual class conflict of the 1960s still simmers beneath the surface, culminating in the death of a strike general at a nuclear power plant. The film explores this tension between human-centered society and the underlying social issues of the past.
