She made her film debut in 1933 with notable roles in "涙の渡り鳥" and "島の娘," establishing herself as a leading lady at Matsutake studios. Tsubouchi's versatility earned her parts in both dramatic and comedic films, cementing her status as a prominent figure in Japanese cinema until her death on November 3, 1985.
