Yoshiko Tsubouchi was a renowned Japanese actress of the Showa period, born in Tokyo on June 22, 1915. She made her film debut in 1933 with notable roles in "涙の渡り鳥" and "島の娘," establishing herself as a leading lady at Matsutake studios. Tsubouchi's versatility earned her parts in both dramatic and comedic films, cementing her status as a prominent figure in Japanese cinema until her death on November 3, 1985.
