Clive Brook

Biography

Clive Brook was a leading British actor who emerged in the early 1920s and became one of Paramount Pictures' major stars in the late silent era. He made successful transitions to sound films, starring in notable movies such as Josef Von Sternberg's "Underworld" (1927) and "Shanghai Express" (1932). Brook was also the first actor to portray Sherlock Holmes in a 'talkie'.
