Convoy

Convoy, a 1940 British war film directed by Pen Tennyson and starring Clive Brook, John Clements, and Edward Chapman, tells the story of a Royal Navy cruiser, HMS Apollo, and its crew as they escort a vital convoy between America and England during WWII. The crew, led by Captain Tom Armitage, must navigate the dangers of the North Sea, including U-boats and a German pocket battleship, to protect the convoy and its passengers, including a cargo hold full of Polish refugees. Along the way, personal relationships are tested and reconciliations occur, adding a human element to the film.
