Amina Annabi

Biography

Amina Annabi, a French-Tunisian singer-songwriter and actress, was born into a family of musicians, with her grandmother and uncle contributing to the establishment of the Tabarka Festival in Tunisia. She met Wasis Diop at this festival and began working together years later. In 1982, she formed her own group before building a solo career, which included a notable win at a music contest in 1983 for her rap song "Shehérazade".
