Biography

Toshiaki Konoe was a Japanese actor born on July 3, 1911, in Hokkaido's Rishiri Island. After graduating from Waseda University's economics department, he began his acting career at the age of 23 with roles in several early talkies. Throughout the 1930s and 1940s, Konoe appeared in numerous films and eventually became a key figure in Japan's Golden Age of cinema, playing notable roles under directors such as Kinji Imanishi and Keisuke Kinoshita.
