Biography

Al Ernest Garcia was a prolific American actor and casting director, best known for his long association with Charlie Chaplin. He appeared in over 120 films between 1911 and 1938, often playing supporting roles, including villainous parts in The Circus (1928), City Lights (1931), and Modern Times (1936). Garcia was also a co-founder of the Motion Picture Extras and Supporting Players Association, founded in 1933.
