Pay Day

In this lighthearted comedy, Charlie Chaplin stars as a laborer at a construction site, where he clashes with his wife (Phyllis Allen) over her desire for his hard-earned pay. As he tries to balance his duties and indulge in a night out, Chaplin uses his signature physical comedy to navigate a series of humorous misadventures, including a wild ride in a bathtub and a chaotic encounter at the saloon. With the help of his fellow workers, Chaplin must find a way to outsmart his wife and get away with his pay.
