Syd Chaplin

Biography

Sydney John Chaplin was an English actor and the elder half-brother of filmmaker Charlie Chaplin. Born in London to a music hall entertainer mother, Sydney's surname was changed to Chaplin upon becoming Charlie's legal guardian. He served as Charlie's business manager later in life and appeared in several notable films, including "The Pilgrim" (1923) and "Shoulder Arms" (1918).
