Biography

Preben Lerdorff Rye was a prolific Danish actor in cinema during the mid-to-late 20th century. He began his stage career at Odenste Teater in 1938 and later became an actor at Det Kgl. Teater, performing until 1961. With a career spanning over four decades, Rye appeared in 92 films between 1941 and 1989, including notable roles in "Day of Wrath" (1943) and "Ordet" (1955).
