Stephen Samuel Kahan was an American character actor known for his iconic role as Captain Ed Murphy in the Lethal Weapon film series. He began his career with a notable appearance in Richard Donner's Superman (1978) and went on to collaborate with Donner on 14 more films, solidifying his reputation as a versatile supporting actor. Kahan's final acting role was in 2006, before he passed away on August 4, 2019, at the age of 79.
