Glen Cavender

Biography

Glen Cavender was a prolific American film actor, born in Tucson, Arizona, who began his career in vaudeville shows and later joined the original Keystone Cops in numerous Mack Sennett comedies. He also worked as a director for three Mack Sennett films before appearing in Buster Keaton's classic "The General" (1926) as Union Captain Anderson. A veteran of over 250 films, Cavender's career was marked by his early success with silent comedy and later struggles with the advent of sound film.
