The General

Buster Keaton stars as Johnnie Gray, a railroad engineer who must use his wits and cunning to rescue his beloved Annabelle Lee (Marion Mack) from Union spies after they steal his train, The General. After a year, Johnnie gives chase, leading to a thrilling series of chases, escapes, and narrow escapes. Annabelle ultimately joins Johnnie in his quest to outsmart the spies and warn the Confederacy of an impending attack, ultimately leading to a triumphant reunion.
