Vladimir Fogel

Biography

Vladimir Pavlovich Fogel, born in Moscow in 1902, was a Russian silent film actor who studied acting at the National Film School under the tutelage of Lev Kuleshov. His early film appearances included small roles in Kuleshov's films "The Extraordinary Adventures of Mr. West in the Land of the Bolsheviks" and "The Death Ray". Fogel was praised by Kuleshov as an "ingenious cinema actor — the best in our generation".
