Biography

Natalya Glan, born Natalya Rzepishewska on January 4, 1904, in Kharkov, was a Soviet choreographer, dancer, and actress. She co-created the new "estradny tanets" in the 1920s, fusing grotesque movement with everyday gestures. Notable collaborations included works with renowned directors Alexander Tairov, Vsevolod Meierhold, and Boris Pokrovsky. Her early work in ballet and pantomime showcased her innovative style.
