Karl Lagerfeld was a renowned German fashion designer, photographer, and creative director who revitalized the Chanel brand as its chief artistic officer from 1983 until his death in 2019. He also led the Italian fashion house Fendi and his own eponymous label, collaborating on numerous fashion and art-related projects throughout his career.
