Biography

Mario Iván Martínez Morales is a Mexican actor born on February 17, 1962, in Mexico City, the son of actress Margarita Isabel and radio journalist Mario Iván Martínez Ortega. He began his acting career at nine with the National Theatre Company of Mexico before studying at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. The actor won an Ariel Award for Best Actor for his performance in "Like Water for Chocolate" (1992).
